Counseling Connection has served the Knoxville Metro Area and East Tennessee for many years. Unlike many other counseling centers, Counseling Connection has its own professional staff, as well as independent licensed clinicians serving clients in a professional setting. What does this mean for you?
Approval By Insurance Providers is Independent
In most cases, it is Counseling Connection, Inc., that is authorized to provide the professional clinical counseling to those who are insured, as well as those using Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits from their employers. In some cases, it is not Counseling Connection that is approved by insurance companies to provide clinical counseling to clients: It is the individual clinician that must be approved to provide clinical counseling to clients. The types of insurance accepted by each clinician is determined by the insurance providers themselves. (Note: Melanie Nordstrom offers a sliding fee scale for those who do not have insurance coverage or EAP benefits to pay for the counseling.)
Billing is Independent
It means that each clinician bills the insurance companies for which they are approved separately. Clients will not even be aware of this, as the medical billing associates that support our clinicians do this seemlessly in the background.
The Clinical Support, Although Independent, Can Be Collaborative
If you were seeing an independent clinician in a private practice at a single office setting, the clinician may be somewhat isolated from the support of others. Counseling Connection, Inc., not only has its main office at 5401 Kingston Pike, Suite 400 in the Twelve Oaks business complex, but also serves clients from the Administrative Ofiices at Life Church, 1015 Cedar Lane in North Knoxville. Each of our clinicians bring years of experience in providing mental health services to clients, yet they have areas of expertise that are unique to them, which makes Counseling Connection the right choice for you.
